Pioneer Day-Kindergarten

I couldn't resist the opportunity to dress Keira up like Little House on the Prairie for her school's Pioneer Day. They talked about Johnny Appleseed, made handcarts, panned for gold, and washed clothes in an old fashioned tub! Her school does some fun things and she's learning so much. The lettuce picture is to prove that a green vegetable was actually consumed by my child. I think I'll frame it.

Weekend with Seth and Kim's Crew

We had a great time with London and Ben. We're even glad Seth and Kim came, too! We are so happy they took time out to come explore No.Cal with us and had a great time. The "Ticket To Ride" tourney is on! Callie had her first (of many) french fries at Taylor's Automatic Refresher in St. Helena. Keira and London had a great time at the Peter Pumpkin Patch in Petaluma.

They chose pumpkins, tasted homemade cheese and ice cream, milked a cow, petted goats, and climbed a giant hay pyramid. As you can tell from her hand gesture above, London does not appreciate the paparazzi.

Keira's first day of school!

I can't believe Keira is in kindergarten! She LOVES it and continually surprises us with how smart she is! For example, Keira recently asked me if we live in Africa now. I initially thought it seemed like an unusual question but she explained that our hills are brown and there aren't very many trees. Very observant for four years old, I think.
